RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce recalled 769 BAIC BJ40 vehicles due to a defect in the electrical fuse box.

    The recall covers 2021–2022 models.

According to the ministry, the defect may cause an electrical short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Owners were urged to check whether their vehicle identification number (VIN) is included in the recall through Recalls.sa and contact Petromin BAIC to have the necessary repairs carried out free of charge.

Affected vehicle owners can contact Petromin BAIC at 8004420030.
