RIYADH — Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, including the strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, during a meeting with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace on Wednesday.

The Iraqi prime minister reaffirmed Baghdad’s commitment to preventing Iraqi territory from being used to launch attacks against Saudi Arabia or other countries in the region.

During the meeting at the Royal Court, the two leaders discussed regional developments and coordinated efforts to strengthen security and stability across the region.

Al-Zaidi expressed the Iraqi government’s strong condemnation of the attack on King Khalid International Airport and other strikes targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, describing them as threats to regional security and stability.

He stressed that Iraq would not allow its territory to serve as a launching point for any aggression or activities that could undermine the security of the Kingdom or neighboring countries.

The Iraqi prime minister also reaffirmed Baghdad’s commitment to the principles of good neighborliness and respect for the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region.

The meeting also reviewed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq and opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Iraq in all fields, particularly security coordination.
