RIYADH — The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) arrested 174 government employees over corruption charges. Some of the arrested persons were released on bail. The employees were from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.

The arrests were made following inspection tours carried out by the Nazaha officials. They conducted 2,662 oversight visits during October. The visits led to the investigation of charges against 454 employees.

Nazaha initiated a number of criminal and administrative cases during the last month as part of its ongoing efforts to promote integrity and combat corruption in government entities.
