Governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) Suhail Abanmi visited today the terminal dedicated to the Makkah Route Initiative at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

He reviewed the procedures and efforts undertaken to facilitate pilgrims’ journey, streamline their processes, and provide the best possible services, enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and comfort.

The Makkah Route Initiative aims to provide high-quality services to pilgrims from participating countries by facilitating their procedures in their home countries with ease and convenience. This begins with collecting biometric data and issuing Hajj visas electronically, followed by completing passport procedures at departure airports after verifying health requirements. It also includes coding and sorting luggage according to transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom.
