Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh launched Sunday the “Qatif Calendar,” featuring a diverse lineup of entertainment, sports, and cultural events and experiences designed to cater to different segments of society and provide visitors with a wide range of options to enjoy the atmosphere of Qatif and its unique coastal and heritage character.

The calendar presents a variety of activities reflecting the diversity of the experience, as the Qatif Corniche hosts cycling races and marathon events in an atmosphere that combines speed and endurance, alongside fishing competitions that capture the spirit of challenge and the city’s deep connection to the sea. These activities enrich the sporting experience while allowing participants and visitors to engage with Qatif’s coastal identity and natural surroundings.

The “Qatif Calendar” also includes social and heritage-focused events, most notably “Souq Al-Qatif,” which revives the spirit of the past through a contemporary experience that brings together families and visitors in vibrant traditional surroundings.

The calendar further features classic car showcases displayed across the city, offering vintage car enthusiasts the opportunity to explore distinctive models that reflect the rich visual history of the automotive world.

The experiences extend to include exceptional cinematic attractions, in addition to a market zone that provides visitors with diverse shopping and leisure options, while “Rimal Al-Qatif” offers a dedicated destination for adventure and thrill seekers through desert activities and experiences tailored for off-roading and dune-bashing enthusiasts.

The launch of the “Qatif Calendar” comes as part of the General Entertainment Authority’s (GEA) ongoing efforts to introduce dynamic event calendars across various regions of the Kingdom, contributing to enhanced quality of life and expanding entertainment options for citizens, residents, and visitors through experiences that combine enjoyment, diversity, and immersive engagement.
