RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA) has urged individuals and establishments to promptly submit objections to unpaid fines related to transport violations issued before November 1, 2024, noting that only 15 days remain to file such objections.

The TGA emphasized that this initiative aims to enable beneficiaries to exercise their legal right to object, thereby strengthening transparency and improving the efficiency and fairness of procedures for handling fines in the transport sector.

The authority has begun accepting appeals against violations issued to offenders before November 1, 2024. It stated that this step is part of its efforts to ensure beneficiaries can exercise their right to appeal in accordance with established procedures, contributing to enhanced transparency in addressing transport-related violations and raising the standards of fairness and regulatory efficiency.

It urged all concerned parties to submit appeals through its official website within the specified legal timeframe, noting that appeals will be reviewed and decided within eight working days from the date the violation was recorded.

The TGA explained that violations are categorized according to activity, including heavy transport, car rental, buses, and freight transport. Penalties vary and may include both financial and non-financial sanctions, such as suspension of operations and vehicle impoundment.
