The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport, launched a program to build the institutional capacity of staff at the Yemeni Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The current phase of the training program covers four areas and targets 153 beneficiaries from August 17 to 25, 2026. The areas include community leadership, communication skills with media and partners, first aid, and camp and event management.
The launch marks the beginning of specialized training packages offered in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport as part of the institutional capacity-building program for the Yemeni Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The program aims to develop the professional and practical skills of staff, enhance their readiness, and strengthen their capabilities in managing youth and sports programs and activities, as well as communicating effectively with communities and partners. These efforts are expected to improve institutional performance and enhance the efficiency of initiatives and programs targeting youth and athletes in Yemen.
The program is part of SDRPY’s support for the youth and sports sector through projects and initiatives that include establishing and rehabilitating sports facilities and sponsoring and organizing tournaments and events. These efforts aim to strengthen the community and development role of sports across Yemeni governorates.
