RIYADH — The delivery sector in Saudi Arabia recorded remarkable growth during the second quarter of 2026, with the number of orders exceeding 132 million. This represents a 30.5 percent increase compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to an index issued by the Transport General Authority.

These results come amid the rapid expansion of the logistics and e-commerce sectors in the Kingdom, supported by digital transformation, the adoption of technological solutions, and the development of business models within the delivery sector. These developments are contributing to greater operational efficiency, improved service quality for beneficiaries, and enhanced economic activity.

The growth reflects the continued development of the delivery sector, driven by increased reliance on digital applications and rising consumer demand, alongside improvements in the sector’s regulatory framework. These factors are enhancing the user experience and strengthening competitiveness.

According to the index, the authority confirmed that the Riyadh region accounted for the largest share of total orders at 44 percent, followed by the Makkah region with 22 percent and the Eastern Province with 16 percent. The remaining orders were distributed among the other regions of the Kingdom, including Madinah, which accounted for five percent.
