RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has provided a total of $23.761 billion to support refugees, visitors, and displaced persons around the world. This was disclosed by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the humanitarian arm of Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of World Refugee Day, observed annually on June 20.

In its report, the KSrelief highlighted Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian efforts in supporting refugees and displaced persons worldwide, underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to assisting the most vulnerable and upholding human dignity.

Saudi Arabia stands as a leading global model in providing humanitarian support to refugees, visitors, and displaced persons – whether within its own borders or through relief, humanitarian, and development programs that have reached countries across the world and left a tangible impact recognized far and wide.

The Kingdom’s contributions to these groups have totaled $23.761 billion, affirming its pioneering role as one of the largest international donors of humanitarian aid. In this context, the Kingdom has devoted special attention to supporting refugees residing within its borders by providing free healthcare and education, enabling access to employment opportunities, and fostering their integration into society across all regions.

As of 2026, the value of assistance extended to refugees from Yemen, Syria, Sudan and the Rohingya minority has reached $20.430 billion, with refugees accounting for 5.5 percent of the Kingdom’s total population. KSrelief continues to implement relief programs, including establishing camps, operating mobile clinics, distributing food and shelter aid, and carrying out water and sanitation projects in several countries.

Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief has implemented 4,394 projects in 113 countries worldwide, with a total value exceeding $8.482 billion. These efforts embody Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to its humanitarian mission and its dedication to building bridges of generosity and hope for those in need across the globe, guided by its noble principles and values.
