    Saudi Arabia extends condolences to Venezuela following deadly earthquake

    RIYADH — Saudi Arabia expressed its condolences to Venezuela following the earthquake that struck coastal cities west of the capital, Caracas, on Wednesday.

    In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended the Kingdom’s sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Venezuela.

    The powerful earthquake resulted in a number of deaths, injuries, and missing persons.

    The Kingdom also affirmed its solidarity with Venezuela and its people during this painful tragedy, extending its sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured and the safe return of the missing to their families.
