    King Salman and Crown Prince offer condolences to Philippines president over earthquake victims

    JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman sent cables of condolences to President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. of the Philippines over the victims of the earthquake that struck southern Philippines.

    In separate cables, the King and the Crown Prince extended their deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the president, the families of the deceased, and the people of the Philippines. They wished the injured a speedy recovery.
    At least 37 people were killed and 487 injured in the earthquake that struck the southern Mindanao island.
