AI and intelligent automation are moving beyond experimentation to play a central role in enterprise decision-making and operations. This shift presents opportunities to improve efficiency and manage complexity, but also increases the need for stronger security, governance and operational guardrails.
In an interview with TahawulTech.com at GISEC Global 2026, Dhruv Kohli, Vice President – India & Middle East at HCLSoftware, discusses the company’s IntelliOps framework, its approach to securing applications and endpoints, and the importance of combining AI adoption with proactive cyber resilience.
What is HCLSoftware showcasing at GISEC this year, and what conversations are you having with customers?
HCLSoftware is showcasing IntelliOps, our framework spanning CyberOps, BusinessOps and ITOps. The portfolio includes flagship products such as HCL BigFix, HCL AppScan and HCL Workload Automation.
Our customer conversations focus on securing application environments, protecting servers and endpoints, and helping organisations adopt AI while strengthening operational resilience. Cybersecurity and AI are central to nearly every discussion taking place at GISEC this year.
How is HCLSoftware helping enterprises strengthen security across applications, endpoints and their broader technology environments?
HCLSoftware helps enterprises address security risks across the technology landscape, from endpoints to applications. HCL BigFix supports endpoint management and protection, while HCL AppScan helps organisations identify and address application security risks.
This capability has become increasingly important with the growth of AI-assisted and autonomous software development. Organisations need greater visibility and control over newly created applications, including headless applications, to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture. Our solutions help customers become more proactive, prepared and resilient.
How are AI and intelligent automation transforming IT and business operations?
AI has moved beyond experimentation and become embedded within business and IT operations. It is increasingly capable of making decisions, automating processes and supporting autonomous operations.
This shift creates opportunities to improve efficiency, scale operations and address complexity, but it also requires effective guardrails. HCLSoftware’s portfolio embeds intelligent automation within core IT operations while helping organisations maintain the necessary control, governance and resilience.
What has stood out for you at GISEC this year, and what does it indicate about the future of enterprise technology?
Cybersecurity and AI have dominated conversations at GISEC this year. Organisations are exploring how to secure new applications and technology environments while protecting their server and endpoint estates.
The discussions indicate that enterprises must look beyond AI adoption alone. Future technology strategies will need to combine innovation with proactive security, strong governance and operational resilience. Organisations that address AI and cybersecurity together will be better positioned to manage emerging business challenges.
