JEDDAH — Active winds raising dust and sand are expected to affect parts of the Makkah and Madinah regions from Wednesday through Friday, accompanied by high waves along parts of the Red Sea coast, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM).
According to a forecast map issued by the NCM, the weather conditions are expected to affect areas between Yanbu and Al-Qunfudhah from August 5 to August 7, particularly along the coastal road connecting the two cities.
The NCM said the active winds are expected to reduce horizontal visibility due to blowing dust and sand over parts of the Makkah and Madinah regions, while high waves are forecast along the coasts of those areas.
