The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), launched a national training program to qualify more than 20,000 Saudi citizens in AI, machine learning, and cloud computing. The initiative aims to enhance national digital skills and support the Kingdom’s transition to a smart economy.

The program comprises two training tracks delivered through AWS Academy. It offers a learning experience focused on applying advanced technologies in practical projects, contributing to raising professional competence, equipping trainees with job-market skills, and supporting organizations in keeping pace with technological advancements.

The first track includes an intensive course targeting more than 10,000 trainees. It combines theoretical learning with practical application, covering AI and machine learning fundamentals, generative AI concepts, use cases across sectors, basics of model training and operation, and principles of responsible AI.

The second track focuses on cloud computing. Participants learn core concepts, security and compliance mechanisms, pricing and cost management models, and best practices for cloud infrastructure. The track also highlights the business value of cloud technologies in supporting growth.

Trainees will receive international certifications from AWS Academy, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market. Notably, MCIT, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), aims to train and upskill 100,000 Saudis by 2030 through this program.
