Applied Science University (ASU), the highest-ranked university in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the seventh consecutive year according to the QS Arab Region and World University Rankings, has announced the opening of admissions for the first semester of the academic year 2026/2027, welcoming applications from students across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expatriate communities residing in the Kingdom, GCC countries and, students from around the world.

Recognised as the only university in the Kingdom of Bahrain to hold the prestigious Five-Star QS rating and the first Bahraini university to receive institutional accreditation from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), ASU has established itself as one of the region’s leading higher education institutions, combining academic excellence, international recognition and strong graduate employability.
The university offers an extensive portfolio of Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes, in addition to bridging programmes designed for diploma holders aiming to advance their university studies to obtain a bachelor degree. Academic disciplines include Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Computer Science, Graphic Design and Interior Design, all delivered through a modern learning environment equipped with advanced engineering laboratories, specialised design studios, innovation spaces and smart classrooms that combine academic theory with hands-on practical experience.

Further strengthening its global outlook, ASU has partnered with London South Bank University (LSBU), United Kingdom, to offer prestigious British degree programmes in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Business Management and Law. Students enrolled in these programmes graduate with dual degrees awarded by both ASU and LSBU, significantly enhancing their international career prospects and opportunities for postgraduate study worldwide. Qualified students holding A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) or CBSE qualifications may also benefit from direct entry into Year Two, enabling them to complete their British degree in three years instead of four, subject to the university’s admission requirements.
To make world-class education even more accessible, ASU has announced partial scholarships of up to 50%, together with a full waiver of registration fees for a limited period, allowing students to pursue internationally recognised qualifications while benefiting from exceptional value for money.

Over the years, the university has graduated thousands of talented students who today contribute to the public and private sectors across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region, occupying leadership and professional positions in engineering, business, law, technology and creative industries. This strong alumni network reflects ASU’s commitment to delivering programmes that respond directly to the evolving needs of regional and international labour markets. Today, ASU is home to students representing numerous nationalities and cultures, creating a vibrant international learning environment that prepares graduates to thrive in an increasingly global economy. The university’s multicultural campus enables students to develop the academic, professional and interpersonal skills required to succeed across borders.
For students in Saudi Arabia, ASU offers an added advantage as it is listed among the universities recommended for study by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, providing students and parents with the confidence of choosing an internationally recognised institution with proven academic quality and strong regional reputation.
