KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait on Wednesday declared two Iranian diplomats persona non grata following Iranian drone and ballistic missile attacks on Kuwaiti territory that left one person dead and dozens injured. In a statement, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry said it summoned the acting chargé d’affaires of the Iranian Embassy and handed him an official protest note, which also included a decision to reduce the embassy’s diplomatic staff. The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources processed 778 chemical-clearance service requests in April as part of its efforts to support industrial investment and provide services that promote the growth and expansion of industrial enterprises. Ministry Spokesperson Jarrah Al-Jarrah said the processed applications included 703 requests for the clearance of imports of unrestricted chemicals and 75 requests for permits to import restricted chemicals.
