Dr. Vishal Gauri discusses Seclore ARMOR, Data Security Intelligence, and persistent protection for sensitive enterprise information
AI adoption is reshaping how enterprises create, consume and protect information, placing greater pressure on CISOs to balance innovation with security, compliance and governance. This shift requires organisations to move beyond perimeter-based controls and place data at the centre of their security strategies.
In an interview with TahawulTech.com at GISEC Global 2026, Dr. Vishal Gauri, CEO, Seclore, discusses Seclore ARMOR, the growing importance of Data Security Intelligence, and how persistent protection can help enterprises retain control over sensitive information wherever it travels.
Interview excerpts
What is Seclore showcasing at GISEC Global 2026, and how does it address evolving data security priorities?
Seclore is showcasing Seclore ARMOR, a unified, full-stack platform designed to support enterprise data security from discovery through to persistent protection. The platform enables organisations to understand the content, context and intended use of their information, classify sensitive and confidential data, and maintain control over it wherever it travels.Persistent protection allows enterprises to determine who can access information, how it can be used and how long access should remain available. Bringing these capabilities together within one platform helps organisations address evolving security, compliance and governance requirements more effectively.
How are growing security and compliance pressures changing the way enterprises protect sensitive data?
Enterprise data consumption and creation have changed significantly over the past two years, driven largely by the automation and efficiency offered by AI. CISOs across the Middle East, North America and Asia are under pressure to adopt AI, improve operational efficiency and automate processes while remaining compliant and protecting sensitive information. AI applications consume and generate information at far greater scale, changing the volume of data moving across the enterprise and the way it is used.
“Organisations must strengthen visibility and control around sensitive information while enabling responsible AI adoption.”
Why should Data Security Intelligence be viewed as an operating model rather than another security product category?
With AI entering the enterprise, data security must become more intelligent. Deterministic rules and policies alone are no longer sufficient to protect information. Organisations need to understand what the data contains, why it was created, and how it is being used across the enterprise. This requires intelligence to be embedded directly into security controls. Data Security Intelligence is therefore not simply another product category. It represents the way data security must operate to meet the emerging requirements of an AI-ready enterprise.
How will AI transform the way enterprises discover, govern, and protect sensitive information?
Enterprise adoption of AI represents one of the most significant changes the security industry has experienced in recent years. Security strategies must consequently shift their focus from the actions being performed and the attack surfaces being defended to the asset that ultimately requires protection: data. Protecting information at its source will become increasingly important as AI enters more business processes and applications. Enterprises must place data at the centre of their security strategies, ensuring sensitive information remains protected regardless of where it travels, who accesses it, or how it is used.
