Roche Pharmaceuticals in Saudi Arabia has signed three memoranda of understanding with the Saudi Health Council, the First Health Cluster in Riyadh, and the Makkah Health Cluster, marking a series of strategic partnerships aimed at advancing Saudi Arabia’s health transformation agenda in line with Vision 2030.

The agreements reflect a long-term, partnership-driven approach to supporting national health priorities through collaboration with public-sector institutions, strengthening integration between the public and private sectors, and contributing to improved quality of care and patient experience across the healthcare ecosystem.

The memoranda focus on developing sustainable collaboration models centered on prevention, capability building, and the use of health innovation to enhance system efficiency and long-term impact, in alignment with the Kingdom’s health transformation priorities under Vision 2030.

Commenting on the agreements, Dr. Abdulrahman Sabra, General Manager of Roche Pharmaceuticals in Saudi Arabia, said:

“These alliances reflect our long-term commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s health transformation agenda in line with Vision 2030. They also build on the partnerships we established last year with the Ministry of Health and national stakeholders, reinforcing a sustained, system-level approach to advancing digital health, prevention, and patient-centered care across the Kingdom.”

The memorandum of understanding signed with the Saudi Health Council focuses on supporting national efforts related to diabetic eye diseases through a collaborative framework that promotes awareness, encourages early screening and detection, supports capacity building for healthcare professionals, and advances the development of national policies to strengthen preventive and clinical practices, with a structured approach to measuring impact across the Kingdom.

The agreement with the First Health Cluster in Riyadh aims to strengthen scientific research and clinical studies through advanced technological solutions, enhance specialized services, improve patient experience, and support knowledge exchange and capability building within the healthcare system.

The memorandum of understanding with the Makkah Health Cluster focuses on leveraging health innovation and private-sector expertise to enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery in one of the Kingdom’s most complex healthcare environments in terms of service scale and patient diversity.

The collaboration with the Makkah Health Cluster is built around three core pillars: strengthening pharmacoeconomic capabilities, advancing early screening and detection programs, and improving patient journeys and outcomes through effective patient solutions and digital health applications.
