WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday criticized Britain for refusing to join the joint U.S.-Israeli military operation on Iran and accused France of being “very unhelpful” during the conflict.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said countries affected by fuel shortages due to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz should buy oil from the United States and take steps to secure supplies.

He urged allies to act independently, saying they would need to rely less on U.S. support.

Trump also accused France of blocking overflight for aircraft carrying military supplies to Israel.

In a separate post, he criticized Paris for its stance during the conflict and said the United States would remember its position.

He said Iran had been significantly weakened following the strikes.
