GAZA — An Israeli drone strike killed one Palestinian and wounded another early Thursday when it hit a tent sheltering displaced people in central Gaza, medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told Anadolu Agency.

The drone fired two missiles at the tent west of Al-Zawayda, the sources said. Local sources identified the man killed as Abd Walid Matar.

Israeli artillery shelled eastern Gaza City and Israeli naval vessels opened fire toward the shore. A drone also struck the city’s Al-Karama neighborhood.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces carried out a demolition east of Khan Younis.

The attacks came amid daily Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.

On Tuesday, Israeli attacks and wounds from earlier strikes claimed three Palestinian lives in Gaza. Among those killed was a girl who died when an Israeli drone struck a tent near Gaza Municipality Park, also wounding several people.

In the occupied West Bank, illegal Israeli settlers seized eight Palestinian homes on Wednesday in Al-Duyuk al-Tahta, a village west of Jericho, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Arriving with their families, settlers smashed doors and occupied the dwellings whilst the residents were away.

Israeli forces subsequently entered Jericho and its adjacent refugee camps with military vehicles.

Earlier Wednesday, the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that Israel confiscated 2,536 dunams (627 acres or 254 hectares) across Beitillu, Al-Mazra’a al-Qibliya, and Deir Ammar northwest of Ramallah by designating the plots “state land” to facilitate settlement expansion near Kerem Reim.

Approximately 750,000 Israeli settlers currently reside in 194 illegal settlements and 400 outposts across the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem.
