RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA) has penalized three expatriates for transporting passengers in private vehicles without a valid license. The penalties included fines totaling SR 35,000, in addition to deportation from Saudi Arabia.

An Egyptian national and Indian national were imposed fines amounting to SR12,000 each for transporting passengers in private vehicles without a license. A Chadian national was slapped fine amounting to SR11,000 for attempting to transport passengers in a private vehicle without a license. The penalties include deportation of all the three illegal transporters.

The TGA emphasized that engaging in transportation activities without a valid license constitutes a violation of the applicable regulations. The authority reaffirmed its continued oversight efforts to curb unlicensed passenger transport practices and strengthen compliance across the sector, thereby contributing to improved transportation service quality and enhanced passenger safety.

The authority noted that the Land Transport Law prohibits engaging in transportation activities without the required licenses and permits the inclusion of deportation as a penalty in decisions issued against non-Saudi violators, in addition to publishing a summary of the decision in accordance with established procedures.

The authority urged passengers to use licensed transportation services and facilities and to make use of the legally available transportation options.
