The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah affirmed that regulatory inspection tours are a key means of improving the quality of services provided to Umrah performers and pilgrims by monitoring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements, identifying and addressing shortcomings, and ensuring adherence to applicable standards.

These efforts are part of the ministry’s ongoing work to develop the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.

The ministry said it conducts daily inspection tours at various Umrah service sites in coordination with relevant authorities.

Since the start of the 1448 AH Umrah season on 15 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1447 AH, the ministry has conducted more than 32,000 inspection tours covering accommodation facilities, Umrah service companies and providers, and other operational sites, checking compliance with regulatory requirements, addressing shortcomings, and improving the quality of services provided to visitors and Umrah performers.

During the last Hajj season, it conducted more than 105,000 similar tours in coordination with relevant authorities, covering pilgrims’ accommodation, service providers’ offices, and field service centers to verify compliance and resolve outstanding issues.

These inspection tours are part of an ongoing monitoring system that assesses service providers’ performance, verifies compliance, addresses operational issues, and drives continuous improvement, safeguarding the rights of Umrah performers and pilgrims and enhancing their experience throughout the journey.
