RIYADH — Saudi Arabia strongly condemned a drone attack that caused a fire aboard two ships at Damietta Port in northern Egypt, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.

In a statement, the ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Egypt and its support for all measures taken by Cairo to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and national interests.

The Kingdom also strongly condemned Iran’s aggression against Kuwait and Jordan, including an attack on a company facility in northern Kuwait that killed one worker.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Kuwait and Jordan and backed all measures taken by the two countries in response to Iranian attacks that violate international law and the principles of good-neighborly relations.

The Kingdom extended its condolences to the family of the victim and to the government and people of Kuwait.

Saudi Arabia also stressed the need for an immediate halt to Iranian attacks against countries in the region, reiterating its firm rejection of the targeting of critical infrastructure and civilian areas.
