JEDDAH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone call with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

The two leaders reviewed cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Spain and explored ways to strengthen ties across a number of sectors. They also discussed issues of mutual interest.

During the call, Sánchez condemned and denounced Houthi attacks on Saudi vessels and the group’s threats to freedom of navigation in the Red Sea.

He reaffirmed Spain’s full support for the Kingdom and backed the measures Saudi Arabia takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty and national interests.
