The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at the Jadidat Arar border crossing thwarted an attempt to smuggle 42.6 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed inside the fuel tank of an incoming vehicle.
ZATCA spokesperson Hamoud Al-Harbi stated that following the seizure, coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control led to the arrest of the intended recipient within the Kingdom. He emphasized ZATCA’s commitment to tightening customs control and working with security partners to protect society from smuggling attempts.
Al-Harbi urged the public to report smuggling activities via the secure number 1910, email 1910@zatca.gov.sa, or international number 009661910, noting that all reports are treated with strict confidentiality and financial rewards are offered for accurate information.
