Date markets across Saudi Arabia have begun receiving the first harvest of the 2026 season, bringing in locally produced fresh and dried varieties. This early-harvest influx comes particularly from the Kingdom’s leading producing areas, including Riyadh, Madinah, Al-Ahsa, and Qassim.

The arrival of these popular varieties marks the start of the harvest season, which typically runs from June through the end of November. Driven by a productive palm tree count that reached 32,206,186 in 2024, the sector continues to ensure the sustainability of national production.

According to reports, the Kingdom’s total date production reached over 1.9 million tons in 2024, successfully meeting domestic demand while supporting global exports. This steady growth across the value chain—from cultivation to marketing—continues to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as one of the world’s leading date producers.
