Saudi Arabia will participate in the Global Dialogue on AI Governance, to be held on the sidelines of the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva from July 6 to 7. The dialogue will bring together ministers, policymakers, representatives of international organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society from around the world.

The Saudi delegation will be headed by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha and will include President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) Abdullah Alghamdi.

Also participating will be Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila, Member of the Saudi Shura Council and the United Nations High-level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence Latifa bint Mohammed Al-Abdulkarim, as well as representatives of the Saudi Human Rights Commission and the King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication.

The participation reflects Saudi Arabia’s global leadership in information technology, data, and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the significant progress it has made in building an integrated national ecosystem for data and AI under Saudi Vision 2030. It also reinforces the Kingdom’s role in international forums as an active partner in shaping the future of advanced technologies and contributing to the development of responsible global AI governance.

The participation underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting international efforts to develop inclusive, safe, and trustworthy AI governance, strengthen international cooperation to bridge AI gaps, promote equitable access to AI capabilities, and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It also reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to playing an active role in shaping the future of international AI governance by exchanging expertise, strengthening international partnerships, and supporting initiatives that promote the responsible use of artificial intelligence to advance sustainable development and shared prosperity.
