King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and Qassim University announced the launch of their partnership in Innovation Incubator 5, as part of joint efforts to support the Kingdom’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and empower innovators and entrepreneurs to develop their ideas into ventures with real economic value.

The partnership brings together KAUST’s advanced research and innovation environment and its pivotal role in hosting the bootcamp and shaping an intensive, hands-on experience for participants, providing them with the mentorship, resources, and tools to refine ideas and develop them into working prototypes, deepening its alignment with Qassim University in nurturing the entrepreneurship ecosystem and supporting national talent.

KAUST will host the bootcamp from June 28 to July 2, 2026, as part of the third phase of Innovation Incubator 5, which runs across three sites: KAUST, King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE), and Qassim University.

The five-day bootcamp gathers entrepreneurs and innovators selected during the hackathon stage, aiming to equip them with the tools, knowledge, and specialized mentorship to develop their ideas into working prototypes through practical workshops, advisory sessions, and real-world challenges that strengthen design-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Now in its fifth edition, the program expects to reach more than 350 participants across more than 24 workshops, while supporting 140 entrepreneurial projects and helping 40 startups take shape through its five-stage structure.
