The Saudi Water Authority is showcasing 18 promising investment opportunities to localize water-sector industries and services during its participation in Saudi Water Week. The opportunities are supported by projected demand exceeding SAR15 billion over the next five years and are expected to strengthen local content, develop national supply chains, enhance sector competitiveness, and stimulate investment in support of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The investment opportunities cover a range of promising industries and support services within the water sector, with expected returns on investment of up to 12%. Several opportunities are also projected to achieve export rates ranging from 30% to 50%, helping localize advanced technologies, strengthen national capabilities, and enable domestic manufacturers to expand into local and international markets.
The opportunities form part of the authority’s efforts to build an integrated local-content ecosystem in the water sector by encouraging high-value investments, expanding the base of national suppliers and manufacturers, and increasing the contribution of locally produced industries and services to future water projects.
The Saudi Water Authority emphasized that investment in water-sector industries and services, along with their localization, represents a key pillar in enhancing the sector’s sustainability and future readiness, further reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global hub for knowledge, innovation, and investment in the water sector.
