The Project Masam for clearing landmines in Yemen, implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), removed 1,779 mines from various areas of Yemen during the third week of June 2026, including 257 anti-tank mines, 151 anti-personnel mines, 1,292 unexploded ordnance, and 79 IEDs.
The number of mines removed in June rose to 4,622, bringing the total cleared since the launch of the Project Masam to 568,961. These mines had been indiscriminately planted across Yemeni territory, claiming innocent lives, including those of children, women, and older people, and spreading fear among civilians.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, continues its efforts to clear mines in Yemen, enhancing civilian safety and supporting safe and dignified living conditions for the Yemeni people.
