The Deep Tech Commercialization Bootcamp, organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in partnership with the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, was launched today with the participation of more than 50 research teams that have prototypes and technologies ready for testing and commercialization.

The bootcamp, held at the innovation incubator and accelerator “The Garage,” aims to equip national research teams with the skills needed to commercialize deep technologies by aligning solutions with market needs, building business models, and improving understanding of intellectual property rights and patents as investment assets, in addition to introducing mechanisms for technology transfer and obtaining technology licenses.

The training program features interactive sessions and hands-on workshops designed to increase the readiness of technology projects for commercial application. It also focuses on developing presentation and communication skills, enabling participants to professionally showcase their technological solutions and innovative outputs in ways that enhance their appeal to the investment sector.

The organization of this bootcamp comes as part of KACST’s efforts to support the national research, development and innovation ecosystem and bridge the gap between the research sector, the private sector, and the investment environment. This contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by diversifying the national economy and supporting enterprises based on deep technologies and advanced solutions.
