RIYADH — The Public Prosecution Council, chaired by Public Prosecutor and Chairman of the Council Dr. Khalid Al-Yousef, held its meeting on Thursday to discuss a number of regulatory and administrative matters aimed at improving the work environment and enhancing operational efficiency.

The council approved the introduction of remote work as an officially recognized working model within the Public Prosecution, in a move designed to improve performance efficiency and provide a flexible workplace environment that supports productivity.

It also approved new rules governing transfers, secondments, and deputation for Public Prosecution members as part of efforts to streamline administrative procedures, serve operational needs, and maximize the use of professional talent.

The council further approved the secondment of a number of Public Prosecution members to various prosecution offices, in addition to appointing several officials to the rank of Investigator B.

As part of efforts to combat financial crimes and speed up responses to reports, the council also approved the establishment of a dedicated office within the Financial Fraud Reports Reception and Processing Center.

The new office is expected to strengthen the handling of fraud-related complaints and accelerate processing procedures.
